Why does she do this when i text her?

im texting my ex gf who i havent talked to in a long time. I wanted to catch up with her. idk if i like her still or would go out with her again blah blah blah. The point is when i text her i am asking all the questions. she doesnt ask any follow up questions. example me "hows your summer so far" her "its good"... so i just keep asking her questions and talking to her but she hasnt asked me a single one! Ive been texting her for about 5 hours and its past midnight where i live if she didnt want to talk to me wouldnt she just have said good night hours ago?(she has a somewhat busy day tomorrow) The only explanation i can think of is that shes kinda shy and kinda quiet...sooo idk whats going on hahaha
