I was a smoker, should i tell my parents?

After high school i started smoking, and getting in to a university i felt liberated. it was easier to have a cigarette instead of eating my lunch while painting, or working on something. .. but i stopped last October. It was not easy. My parents have no clue about this. i was thinking if it would be right to tell them? but i feel when i have my own life to live that I'll go back. They are very conservative about everything.
