How can I help the people in Haiti?

they cant just start handing out babies to people caught up in the hype. its a very big deal to hand the life of i child over to somebody so the proper screening methods should be used in every adoption scenario no matter what for the childs protection. some people mean well and have good intentions but are unfit to be parents and some people have bad intentions. I support adoption but there is a process that cannot be overlooked.
