What will happen to me if I am pulled over without a license?

I am 16 right now and I want to take my Sadies date on a good evening and to do this I would like to take her and myself everywhere, so I would pick her up, go to the dinner, then go to the dance. The problem is that I don't have my license. I do have my permit though if that counts. So I was wondering what would happen if I would be pulled over and what should I do if I get pulled over? I just want to go out on a fun night with my date.
