Best city in hawaii to visit?

going to hawaii for the first time in august and i wanted to know which city is the best. Im just plannin to go to some good restaurants, visit the beach and maybe do one cool water or some activity, not alot, i mainly wanna relax . im not a big sight seeing person , if it includes me walkin alot or something. and get bored pretty easily . my dad wants to go to honolulu but im thinkin there has to be a hidden jewel somewhere else .
